Privacy Policy — Drive-It

This Privacy Policy explains how MyRide Live Inc. ("Drive-It", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Drive-It mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Drive-It you agree to this Policy.

Who we are

Drive-It is a social platform for automobile enthusiasts. Users share photos and videos, manage a personal vehicle collection ("Garage"), join or run clubs, and host or attend events.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — email address and, if you register with email/password, your password (stored and verified by our authentication provider, not by us in plain text). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider.
  • Profile information — display name, username, biography, profile photo, cover image, and the city/region you select.
  • Vehicle information — vehicles you add to your Garage, including make, model, details, and photos/videos you upload.
  • Content you create — posts, photos, videos, comments, reactions, clubs, events, and messages (including chat and message requests).
  • Camera and photo library — when you choose to take a photo/video or select media from your device, we access the camera and photo library to upload the content you select. We do not access your media without your action.
  • Support communications — information you include when you contact us (e.g., problem reports), which may include optional diagnostic details.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — app version, device type, operating system, and general usage/diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the Service.
  • Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, we store a device token to deliver push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • Approximate location — the city/region you provide. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Information from third parties

  • Social sign-in providers (Google, Apple) provide the profile information described above when you choose to sign in with them.

How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile;
  • Provide core features (feed, garage, clubs, events, chat, search, news);
  • Deliver photos, videos, and other media you and others share;
  • Send push notifications and in-app notifications you have enabled;
  • Operate the in-app assistant/chatbot features;
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
  • Respond to support requests;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

  • With other users — your profile, posts, photos/videos, comments, and other content are visible to others according to the app's features and your actions (for example, public posts, club membership, or messages you send).
  • Service providers (processors) who operate the Service on our behalf:
    • Google Firebase — authentication, file/media storage, and push messaging;
    • [Bunny.net] — media content delivery (CDN);
    • [Ably] — real-time chat and messaging delivery;
    • [Railway] — application hosting and database infrastructure;
    • [AI provider(s)] — to power in-app assistant/chatbot features (messages you send to the assistant are processed to generate responses).
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Drive-It, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time (see "Your choices"), after which we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Your choices and rights

  • Access, update, delete — you can edit your profile and content in the app, and request deletion of your account and associated personal data by [using the in-app account deletion option / emailing support@myride.live].
  • Push notifications — you can disable notifications in your device settings.
  • Camera/photos permission — you can revoke access in your device settings.
  • Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK, California), you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection. To exercise these, contact support@myride.live.

Children's privacy

Drive-It is not directed to children under [13 / the minimum age in your country]. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@myride.live and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including encryption in transit and access controls via our providers) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
